The Chiltern Branch of the Young Aschaeologist's Club is is a monthly club open to all young people between 8 and 16 who have an interest in archaeology and history.Membership of the branch costs £12 p.a.and £3 per session although occasional special events might cost a bit more.

Meetings of the branch which is the junior wing of The Council for British Archaeology, are on the last Saturday of each month at the Chalfont St.Peter Community Centre between 10 am. and 12 noon.

Sessions are a mixture of practical workshops on various topics from history and archaeology, which also includes special visitors such as Prethistoric Technology experts John and Val Lord, The Nautical Archaeology Society, re-enactors and experts from museums and other societies. We are not able to do much excavation but we have built our own burial mound before! And we are always keen to have sessions based on our members' particular interests. This is a great opportunity to meet other young people with similar interests and sessions are always a great deal of fun. Several of our members have gone on to study Archaeology and History at university . Members come from all over Bucks and West London.
