he Chamber of Commerce consists of members, both corporate and individual, who have an interest in business in the village. Members range from village shops to businesses and service providers.

The Chamber’s function is:

• to support and promote local businesses;
• to represent them at County and Local level;
• to comment on legislative and other measures affecting business;
• to collate and pass on relevant information.

The Chamber was set up in 1948.

The Chamber also supports selected charitable organisations relevant to its members. The Chamber is structured to be able to support members. There is an elected President heading the Committee, which runs day to day activities. Committee meetings take place once a month (see events timetable). Minutes of these meetings are available for Chamber members to see.
